Is there Sugar in Syrup?? Than YES!!!

So many things have happened in the past few weeks!! Let's see... on Dec 3rd I interviewed for a full time postion at Nuskin, Product Support Specialist.  I felt that the interview went well and was confident, however I didn't recieve the position.  There were over 30 applicants and they did 8 interviews.  So at least I got into the interview process right?? I wasn't all that upset that I didn't recieve the position but on Dec 8th when I recieved the email letting me know that I didn't recieve the postion this is what is said

Dear NAME  REALLY!!! I have worked for a company for almost 3 years and I get a DEAR NAME ... nothing was meant for me, it was all just a set email they send to everyone!  Anyway... I spoke with my supervisor.. who than spoke to his manager which in return.. the person that wrote the email and manager spoke about it.  The person that orginally wrote me an email than wrote me another one to appologize.

I want to truly apologize that I did not change the name field in the previous email I sent you today.   I am truly sorry.  All I can say is that I am recovering from the flu, on top of transmitting Payroll, and being short-staffed and having open enrollment, the office was busy today and I am so sorry that I neglected changing the name to yours.  Please accept my sincerest regrets.

All I wanted was a simple appology not a guilt trip of why she maybe forgot to insert my name!  Oh well it is over now and I just laugh at it.. For some people here at work.. my new name is NAME ahhah

Dec 8th was the work party as well!! They had Brian Regan come, which was amazing!  Every year they also give away gifts by doing a drawing.  Because we had tickets this year we had to look for our number to pop up on the screen.  I had kind of given up hope ever winning anything b/c I am just one of those people who just doesn' t win things.  the second round of number came up on the screen and I was looking and saw something similiar to mine.. I thought I guess I will look down at my ticket and see if that is the same...  and sure enough it was!!! I went up on stage and I won a HP Laptop!! Pretty sweet!! I was so surprised!! I was also very nervous for some reason!  We also got $300 to Costco, some nuskin products of course, and an Easy up.  What a great company to work for!!

So it only took me three days to open up the laptop!  That thing is gigantic!  I felt like we had just opened a new desktop.  After talking over it, we decided it would be best to return it.  This wasn't something we actually needed.  We have 2 laptops already, plus a desk top.  We got $754 back from Costco! 

We also decided to return a mixer that my mother bought us for our wedding that we had never used.  It just seemed to be taking up space in the kitchen.  We didn't get too much for that but with the laptop money and the $300 we were already given I had $1,100 to Costco! 

We have purchased many things with that money and are already down to only having just over $400.  We are going to use that for Tires on our car.  The back tires on the Honda are almost bare!  I sure hope it doesn' t snow too much until we get home from our vacation over Christmas.

5 days until Christmas!  6 days until we fly to HAWAII!! yay, We are getting really excited to be able to get away and be warm in the sun!! I personally hate the snow and would love to live somewhere that stays above 70 degrees year round!   We are leaving the 26th and we won't be home until the 7th of January! 

Tim has never been to Hawaii so he is very excited!  A couple of weeks ago, I decided to start making a list of things to do while we are there.  I mentioned things like: hiking, surfing, kyaking, seeing waterfalls.  Than I asked him for some ideas of what he would like to do.  This is what he says:

"Lay on the beach like a beached whale"
"Pick a coconut and eat it"

This is his idea of a vacation. haha 

I personally just can't wait to be in the sun, to be warm and enjoy the palm trees and ocean.

I really shouldn't have started this blog so late.. I had so many things I wanted to write about but forgot all of them
